There is strength in numbers. That is how NASI-HSN has been able to negotiate volume discounts on the HME products pharmacies sell the most. Not on complex rehabilitation equipment, but on basic mobility items like canes, crutches, walkers, and wheelchairs, and off-the-shelf orthotics like wrist and ankle braces. These are the products your patients need to find in an emergency, close to home.
We have already established partnerships with some manufacturers, and there are many others who would like to work with NASI-HSN members to give their products wider distribution throughout the country in community pharmacies.
Our HSN Purchasing Program is up and running. Current HSN members are getting great deals on DME products from Medline. And, we’re close to adding other manufacturers to the program.
We are also working to partner with the major pharmacy wholesalers. It may take a little time, and perhaps your support, to get the HME products you need most often stocked with your wholesaler. By purchasing directly from the manufacturers at first, we will have a clearer picture of what products NASI-HSN pharmacies need in smaller quantities from their wholesalers.
